He has ran a guiding business in the late 90s teaching many anglers to tie flys, cast and catch trout.
His fishing highlights is fishing Tasmania's highland lakes, and the snowy mountains in NSW.
His passion and experience in the local Victorian waters is by far an understatement in these challenging fishery's.
John has been in many fishing magazines and books such as Fly Life, Fishnet, Victorian Fishing Monthly, Fishing World,Modern Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Northeast Fishing, Go Fishing and the book Rex`Hunt Fishing Australia.
John has Fished in the state and national fly fishing championships and has also has worked at the channel 7 Rex Hunts fishing and boating show in Melbourne for many years, representing his sponsored tackle and doing casting demonstrations.
Johns new passion is producing online fly fishing videos and photography.
